Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy has emerged as a groundbreaking solution in regenerative medicine, offering natural, non-invasive treatments for a range of medical conditions.
Naturalis PRP, an advanced PRP system, is now being used to address common female health concerns such as female sexual dysfunction, vulvovaginal atrophy (VVA), and stress urinary incontinence (SUI).
By harnessing the body’s natural healing mechanisms, Naturalis PRP delivers safe and effective results with minimal downtime.
Understanding the Conditions
Female Sexual Dysfunction
Many women experience sexual health challenges, including reduced libido, vaginal dryness, and discomfort during intercourse. These issues can result from hormonal changes, aging, childbirth, or psychological factors.
Vulvovaginal Atrophy (VVA)
VVA is a condition characterized by thinning, dryness, and loss of elasticity in the vaginal tissue, often associated with menopause or hormonal changes. Symptoms include itching, burning, and pain during intercourse.
Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI)
SUI occurs when physical activity or exertion, such as coughing, sneezing, or exercising, causes involuntary leakage of urine. It often results from weakened pelvic floor muscles and tissues, commonly due to childbirth or aging.
How PRP Naturalis Work
Naturalis PRP uses a concentrated solution of the patient’s own platelets, derived from their blood, to stimulate cellular repair and regeneration.
Treatment Process:
1. Blood Collection: A small amount of blood is drawn from the patient.
2. Centrifugation: The Naturalis system isolates and concentrates the platelet-rich plasma.
3. Injection: PRP is injected into targeted areas, such as the vaginal walls, clitoral region, or urethral sphincter, depending on the condition being treated.
When the PRP is injected, the platelets release bioactive proteins and growth factors
within the target injection site. The highly concentrated growth factors immediately stimulate your body’s normal healing responses to injured skin - attract stem cells to the area, initiate new blood vessel formation, increase blood supply and necessary proteins to regenerate the tissue.
Hundreds of different biochemical processes occur within minutes after injection so patients should feel some type of ‘activity’ related to the increased metabolic processes and blood flow after injection. Patients describe this as a feeling of fullness, tightness, warmth, dull throbbing or fluttering
WHEN SHOULD PATIENTS NOTICE CHANGES?
Patients will respond at different rates depending on age, general health and baseline condition. Improvements to vascular supply, especially to the clitoris and G-Spot region, can be noticed within hours. However regeneration of epithelial tissue and nerves initiated by the bioactive proteins and growth factors will take up to 12 weeks to be noticeable with a similar timeframe for new collagen, elastin and the extracellular matrix to be formed. Ongoing improvement of injected areas will continue up to 6 months post procedure, when it will then stabilize for the next 12 months. Patients will usually require 2 PRP procedures, performed 6 weeks apart, followed by an annual ‘top-up’ treatment to sustain the benefits.
