Milia

Milia are small, white bumps that commonly appear on the face around the eyes, cheeks, and nose. They're tiny cysts that develop when dead skin cells become trapped in the outermost layer of skin. Milia usually don't cause any pain or discomfort.

Milia symptoms

Several factors can contribute to the development of milia, including:

  • Genetic disorders that affect the way skin sheds its dead cells

  • Excessive sun exposure

  • Use of certain medications, such as corticosteroids and retinoids

  • Blistering injuries to the skin

  • Chronic skin conditions

Milia treatment

There are several ways to treat milia, but it's important to visit a medical professional before trying any method. In our clinic we offer the Lamprobe machine for milia treatment.
