What is Muscle Pain?
Muscle pain, also known as myalgia, refers to discomfort in muscles or surrounding soft tissues. It may be localised to one area or felt more generally throughout the body. Muscle pain can develop after exercise, poor posture, stress, injury or prolonged tension.
Symptoms
Common symptoms may include:
• Aching or tenderness
• Tightness or stiffness
• Reduced flexibility
• Pain with movement
• Muscle fatigue
• Localised swelling or sensitivity
Muscle pain may be caused by overuse, strain, physical activity, poor posture, stress, dehydration, injury or underlying inflammatory conditions. In some cases, discomfort may also be linked to recovery after surgery or periods of reduced movement.
Treatment
What Causes Muscle Pain?
Treatment depends on the cause, severity and duration of symptoms. At Primavera Clinic, we recommend ICOONE® Laser Med to support tissue relaxation, improve circulation, assist lymphatic drainage, and promote recovery, in combination with a personalised treatment plan developed during a comprehensive consultation.
General care may include stretching, hydration, rest, gentle movement, and medical assessment when pain is persistent, worsening, or unexplained.
