Body composition analysis for precision body contouring

The clinical body tissue scan for body sculpting and toning results.

Weight alone tells only part of the story. True body transformation involves understanding the balance between fat mass, muscle tissue, hydration and overall metabolic health.

Whether your goal is improving body composition, enhancing athletic performance, supporting recovery, or simply gaining a better understanding of your health, Bioimpedance Analysis provides valuable insights beyond what a standard scale can reveal.

What is Bioimpedance analysis?

The medical-grade Bodystat® Bioimpedance Analysis (BIA) is a non-invasive assessment that measures how electrical signals travel through the body. Because muscle, fat and water conduct electricity differently, the technology can accurately calculate key body composition measurements.

Using the Bodystat® system, we assess:

  • Body fat percentage

  • Lean muscle mass

  • Total body water

  • Cellular hydration

  • Basal metabolic rate (BMR)

  • Overall body composition

These insights help us develop tailored treatment, nutrition and lifestyle recommendations based on your individual physiology.

The Bodystat® BIA is effective for:

  • Improving body contouring results by finding where fat loss is occurring.

  • Protecting and building muscle mass to get a firmer, more toned silhouette.

  • Tracking hydration and fluid balance to target water retention and support lymphatic drainage.

  • A personalised wellness plan to build custom nutrition and training programs.

  • Long-term health tracking to stop stressing over daily weight changes.

This body composition monitor is suitable for all clients looking to optimise their physical health and can be seamlessly integrated with your targeted body treatments.

How does Bioimpedance scales work?

The beauty of the Bodystat® system lies in its medical-grade precision and speed.

The entire process takes just a few minutes and is completely painless:

During the scan:

  • Small sensors are placed on the hand and foot

  • A safe, low-level electrical current passes through the body

  • The system measures how different tissues respond to the signal

  • Advanced software analyses the data and generates a comprehensive result.

Your results are then reviewed with our team, who will explain each measurement and provide personalised recommendations based on your goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I have a Bioimpedance Analysis?

For clients undergoing active body contouring, lifestyle, or nutritional transformations, we generally recommend a baseline scan before your first treatment, followed by check-in scans every 4 to 6 weeks to track your progress.

Is Bioimpedance Analysis safe?

Yes. The technology uses a very low-level electrical current and is considered safe, comfortable and non-invasive for most individuals.

Who should not undergo Bioimpedance Analysis?

Bioimpedance Analysis is not suitable for individuals with electronic medical implants, including pacemakers and implantable defibrillators. It is also not recommended during pregnancy.

Can I combine this with my ICOONE® Laser Med treatments?

Yes. We highly recommend combining Bioimpedance Analysis with ICOONE® Laser Med treatments to monitor changes in fluid balance, body composition and overall treatment progress throughout a personalised body contouring program.
